During our most challenging times, taking stock of the good things in our lives can help us become more productive and improve our capacity to process and work through everything else. Studies have shown that people who give thanks in a conscious, concrete way - whether it be through meditation, a written journal, or even through social media - are happier, more resilient, and more confident in facing life’s toughest situations.
Start Small: Every week, write down three things that you are grateful for.
Finish Remarkable: Every time something positive happens to you, write it on a sticky note. Put your favorites on your refrigerator to remind you of what you have.
BONUS IDEA: Write down the positive moments as they happen to you - include names of others who may have played a part - place the notes in a jar/box. Set time to reflect back by reading these notes - maybe it’s every 3 months, 6 months, or one year. Take stock in the good things!
