Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are an important part of any cardiac safety plan to reduce the impact of sudden cardiac arrest. Our goal is to provide free AEDs and training on proper use and maintenance to non-profit community organizations throughout Oregon and SW Washington.

Since this initiative began in 2017, we have awarded more than 130 AEDs to a variety of non-profit organizations, such as: schools, churches, youth and adult community sports leagues, and social services. These life-saving device donations are made possible by the generosity of others in helping fund their purchase through the Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation.

Applications can be submitted at any time. We review and award on a quarterly basis and as funding allows. Reviews take place the first month of each quarter and applicants will be notified. Apply today and let’s save lives together!

How can you help? We have multiple ways to raise funds, including your donation today to our Providence Heart Institute Fund. Please select “heart” from the “I would like to support” drop down menu; add a note “AED Donation Program” if possible.

Celebrating recipients!
