Empower to Quit: Understanding Your Nicotine-Free Journey

One 2-hour class offered virtually.

Sometimes, it’s helpful to have the details first and then work on changing a behavior. This is especially true when deciding to make a change like quitting the use of nicotine. During this class, you will gain knowledge and confidence in the journey of deciding to be nicotine free, the small steps needed along the way, the challenges and tools to overcome, and the empowered mindset to ultimately live nicotine free. Following this class, you will have the opportunity to consider the next step and what resources are available to support you in the moment, such as our 8-week series where you take action in utilizing the knowledge and motivation gained.

All classes held on Wednesdays, 4-6:00 p.m. PT.

Our Providence Nicotine Cessation programming seeks to meet you where you are in the process of choosing to break up with your nicotine habit. We inform you on the journey to become nicotine free and then support you in swapping behaviors and building a strong and confident foundation within a community of others on a similar path.

Our free nicotine cessation offerings support those who are:

  • Curious about the possibility of quitting nicotine — or who may not be ready to take a step to reduce or quit — but would like to learn more about the process.

  • Ready to take the steps to reducing and ultimately quitting by engaging in a group dynamic meant to support each other on a similar path.

A Nicotine-Free Path: Chart Your Course to a Healthier Future

8-week series offered virtually.

We know that everyone is different, and the approach to this life-changing decision should be reflective. Our certified instructor assists you in creating a personalized plan that is purposeful and meaningful. Within the small group setting, you will learn to lean on others who are walking this similar path: learning from each other, connecting with each other, and offering ideas and support from your personal experience. During this series, you will experiment with reducing your nicotine use by swapping behaviors, taking the necessary steps to create a successful environment, and learning how to navigate triggers, urges, and changes as you let go of the nicotine addiction and welcome new habits and activities.

All sessions held on Mondays, 6:00-7:30 p.m. PT.
