Mat Pilates

This class is designed to help guide you toward better body awareness, posture, and core control. Use of ballet barres and resistance bands for strength training the legs, and hips, as well as mat Pilates training for all aspects of the core.

New to the practice of Pilates or wanting to improve on the basic sequences and body control used in mat Pilates? Try our Mat Pilates Basics 4-week series – every 4 weeks our instructor breaks down the movements and proper form to get the most benefit from your mat Pilates practice (Tues/Thur 9:30-10:15 am). Visit our calendar, locate the class, and sign up.

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Intermediate - Advanced

SPECIAL CLASS NOTES: Modifications available for those with limited mobility. Must be able to safely move between standing and floor work. Some use of props will be used for added resistance and support. 

NOTE: At home props can be creative. Bolster = pillow, folded blanket. Block = books, piece of wood. Strap = robe belt, towel, long band. Ballet barres = counter, wall, back of sturdy couch or chair.

FREE CLASS - Registration requested for first time participants so that we can collect your waiver release. Once registered, you will receive an email with the access links and any necessary codes which will remain the same each week for this specific class.
