I WILL: Track My Steps
Moving more can make you healthier, lower your risk of chronic disease, and help you feel better. That’s where a pedometer comes in. Devices that track steps, such as pedometers, can help keep you motivated and mindful, and they have also been shown to increase weight loss. The more you monitor your activity, the more likely you are to stay on track. There are tracking devices in every shape, size and cost. You may even already have one in your pocket! Most modern smart phones have pedometers built into them.
Start Small: Track your steps daily for two weeks without a particular goal in mind.
Finish Remarkable: Challenge yourself with a daily step count goal. When you have achieved it consistently for four weeks, double it. Challenge others, too! Make is a friendly competition by inviting your family, friends and neighbors to track their steps - celebrate each other when personal goals are reached each week.
