DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT

Not exactly a nutritionally-specific topic, yet we felt the timing was important to remind you that though we are practicing physical distancing amidst a pandemic that has driven us to depend on our electronic devices even more, don’t forget to relish in the moments right in front of you. Reach out to your friends, family and neighbors this holiday season, it’s important. Also make time to disconnect from the devices and appreciate the silence, a good book, or connecting in face-to-face conversation or activities within your home.

Start small: Turn off all electronic devices after 9pm twice each week.

Finish remarkable: When sitting down with others for a meal, put your phone on “do not disturb” and drop it in your bag or pocket. Ask the people you’re sitting with to do the same.
