Planning ahead is more than eating healthy, it creates consistency amidst chaotic schedules, keeps the stress levels down at the end of the day, and lightens the strain on the pocketbook too. Yes, choosing healthy foods with meal planning can actually keep your food budget under control.

Schedule time each week to meal plan and grocery shop. Find recipes that excite you or that you know you and your family will enjoy. Shop the ingredients and get to work! Save yourself some time and energy by doubling the recipe to use for leftovers.

Start Small: Choose one meal for each day and create your meal plan for the week. Don’t forget to schedule time for groceries.

Finish Remarkable: Make meal planning and grocery shopping a standing appointment on your schedule. Maybe it becomes a family activity each week where everyone chooses a favorite recipe to enjoy.
