Pear Apple Crisp

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 40 mins | Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, chopped

  • 3 pears, chopped

  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 ½ c rolled oats

  • ¾ c walnuts, finely chopped

  • ¼ c maple syrup

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • ½ tsp cinnamon, to garnish

  • ¼ c blueberries, to garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl (or right in your baking dish), combine apples, pears, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Mix well and pour into a baking dish.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine oats, walnuts, maple syrup, butter, and salt. Mix well. Spread oat mixture evenly over the apples and sprinkle with a little cinnamon.

  3. Bake 40 minutes, or until fruits are fork tender. Remove from oven and dot with blueberries while still hot.

Notes

  • Pears are a great, high in fiber option, but you can add whatever fruits you have.
