Sound Bath Experience

Registration for this event has closed. To receive updates on the next Sound Bath Experience, please email Basecamp.

Let’s take 90 minutes out of our busy lives to allow for some self-care. It’s just another way to think with your heart!

This sound bath experience encourages a return to internal balance to calm the mind and the body through a therapeutic meditation of guided imagery and vibrational sound. Participants have the option to select a mindfulness prompt to use throughout the session or choose to allow the mind to wander and settle into a restful space. Through breath work and a short, guided meditation, you will relax into a 55-minute sound journey leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. You may even pick up a tool or two to help you revisit this calming space when it’s most needed.

This event does have limited spots available, and the registration form will close once the 20-person limit is reached.

Coloring for HeART

Take a moment to think with your heart and add a splash of color to our world! Coloring is a healthy way to relieve stress. It calms the brain allowing your body to relax. Coloring can ease depression and anxiety, provide a distraction, boost your ability to meditate or practice mindfulness and even help you sleep better.

An idea for those outside the Portland, OR area: Set aside a few minutes to color today or throughout the month. Make it a space with few distractions and enjoy the mindful moment of letting your creativity lead the way. Make something great for yourself or maybe a card or drawing for someone else.

Local to Portland? We invite you to color with us and participate in our community-perfected art display.

Join us throughout the month as we blend the mindful meditation of coloring with wonderful pieces of art planned to be displayed on the PSVMC campus. Stop by during our scheduled coloring sessions for a minute or two, or five.

Our expert panel includes Melissa Weismiller, RD, CDCES, Providence diabetes educator, and Jamie Libera, RD, LD, CCTD, Providence registered dietitian for heart services and Basecamp’s nutrition consultant. Attendees to this virtual event will have the opportunity to submit questions for response at the end of the conversation.
